This device can be added to the LSHSC along with other indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi cameras, video doorbells, floodlight cameras, and alarm sensors.

 

This camera must be set up first on the Lorex Classic App before adding to the Lorex Center.   Make sure to upgrade the camera to the latest firmware via the App. For instructions, see here.

 

Two-Way Audio

This camera's built-in microphone and speaker will help you ward off uninvited guests. With your smartphone or tablet, you can talk to whoever is on the other end of the camera, which comes in handy if you can't do it in person.

 

Secure Local Storage

Safely store your recorded footage in the confines of your own home. Each camera comes with a 16GB microSD card, so you don't have to pay additional monthly cloud storage fees. This ensures you maximum privacy as only you can access your video footage.

HEVC / H.265 Encoding

Modern-day video files tend to be quite large so they take up a lot of space. With HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) or H.265 encoding, video files are compressed without diminishing their quality. HEVC also compresses data files up to 50% more than previous encoding technology and saves you plenty of bandwidth when remotely watching live or recorded footage.

 

Lorex Classic App

Keeping tabs on your property is easy with the Lorex Classic App. Take advantage of remote viewing, two-way talk and easy-to-read event timelines. Use the app to customize camera settings or set up SmartZone advanced detection - all from the palm of your hand.

Wide Angle Field of View

Not very reliable.

"Not thrilled with these, to be honest. Picks up cars great but doesn’t do very well with people, even though I have people mode chosen. It only catches me part of the time. Guess the burglars don’t have too much to worry about. My neighbor, who told me about these, has the same problem. At one point I was about 18” from one of his cameras and it didn’t record anything. What is the battery life?
This is not a battery operated camera, it must be permanently connected to power.
how do i temporary disable for private moments? then turn back on without complicating setting up again?
You can activate the privacy mode from the mobile application, so that the camera does not record while it is activated.
I have three of these cameras. One of the three has stopped recording; when in the app, under view events, motion is detected but the screen shows "no recordings". How can I fix this?
Is important to check if the camera is recognizing the SD card, if it does not, please format the SD card and connect it back to the camera. We suggest you also to try with one of the working SD cards of one of the working cameras.
Can I view the video on my laptop?
No, only mobile app.
1. We have a south view to cover with this camera. Inevitably the sun will be in the image for part of the day. Does this damage the camera (forcing us to somehow put it in a shaded area with limited view)? 2, When the microSD is full does it automarically over write or does user have to format the card to create space for recordings?
Hi! This is Lorex. The operating temperature is -10 ⁰C–45 ⁰C/14 ⁰F–113 ⁰F, if environment exceed the temperature, it may cause the device stop working. The SD card when the storage is full will replace the oldest videos with new videos.
