"three weeks ago the electrical power module for my Lorex 2000 system we purchased and installed one year ago. They would not handle the issue under the warranty so I paid to order a new power module. (I was talking to a foreign entity and it was not easy to understand). The order number was L718853 . About a week later I received an email stating the order had been cancelled. I called and was advised the part ordered was no longer available. They recommended the above power module ACCPWR12V5A which is for a 16-24 channel (camera) system. Ours is an 8 to 16 channel system. I ordered that part (order # L719799) which was about two times the price of the other power module. The part came in today. From the picture you can see the power module has a cord to connect to the camera cord and a cord to plug into the wall. The part I received did not have a cord to plug it into the wall. I tried to call tonight when I receive it but they are closed and don't open until Monday. I have been without my security system for over a month. Obviously the power module provided with the system was defective and did not last even a year. I would not recommend purchasing any Lorex system because they do not durable and Lorex does not stand behind them. Their service system is cumbersome, ineffective and inefficient."

Very frustrating experience. Waited for almost a week for this order and it was missing the wall plug.

"If there was -5 rating I would have given that. So frustrating that I received item with missing parts. I got an adapter without the wall plug. It is of no use for me now. What a waste of time. I request refund and hopefully I might get the refund, I feel very terrible already. I would never buy a Lorex product again. Lorex has broken my trust."

I ordered a 12v 5a

"I ordered a 12v 5a power supply (2pieces) to replace the 4 camera system supplied one piece 12v 2a power supply that didn't last 3 years. After waiting I received 1 box containing a new 12v 5a power adapter without the AC cord that is part of what I ordered. It is even on the website as part of what I ordered. I ordered the 12v 5a power supply because I used an old one from a different DVR and it solved the problem I was having. The 12v 2 amp supply stopped providing the necessary power to allow the DVR to boot. I don't understand after contacting Lorex twice and supplying a picture of what they sent me why they haven't shipped the second part of what I ordered. How can you use it without the AC power cord?"

"On YouTube, they say most adaptors are junk. This is the third one I'm buying for a system that is 11 years old. FRY's Electronics wanted $57 lowered to $49, but the day before it was $39 and they advertised it as a LOREX Adaptor. This purchase for a LOREX Adaptor 12v.5A costs $26.24 with free shipping and it was through LOREX."

"This adapter is much more stronger for my cameras , was using 2.5 but this 5 A that the company reqmended. Much better for the night vision infer red because doesn't over heat ."

Our original power supply melted

"Our original power supply melted and lorex didn't have that one anymore and sent this as an upgrade. It didn't melt but the cameras still would go out. We ended up buying a new system."
