poor clarity, poor connectivity, 1 out of 4 cameras is functional for me

"1 of the 4 cameras (purchased as a package) stays connected to the base unit. The others do not work. The notifications stopped working after a few months. The clarity and resolution is poor. I will pursue a fix through the extended warranty I purchased - thank goodness for that. Super disappointed with this product."

Waste of time and lots of money

"I bought this system 2 years ago. I have never been able to get it to connect with my monitor. Three out of 4 of the cameras showed up in the phone app, 1 never did. I didn't call Lorex at the time because customer service is so frustrating. I'm trying to sell my house so I'm trying to get the blasted thing to work. I spent over 2 1/2 hours on the phone with customer service. I was cut off 3 times and had to call them back repeatedly. Now they tell me that I have to buy a new tv monitor to make the system work. The manufacturer of the monitor I have now says BS, it can take the info and will simply play it with lower resolution. This has been a waste of thousands of dollars."

My business with Lorex 2k

"My business with Lorex 2k NVR outdoor security camera system is a very pleasant experience. We purchased a set of this system last year and this system worked well until recently some defects appeared. I contacted Lorex company to solve the issue and replace the defected camera. The customer service staff responded my request quickly, and worked with the technical department and extend protection department to refund us！The extend protection department even thoughtfully recommended us another new system with lower price as replacement. I then followed their suggestion and ordered a new system. Regarding the current business environment, Lorex maintains a very high level of service by placing customer’s benefit as priority."

At least this package had functional cameras

"This is the second purchase from Lorex. The first order was purchased at Costco, the box sat on a shelf unopened for a while. When I did the install one of the cameras did not work, upon further investigation, you could see that during assembly the LAN cable got pinched in the housing causing the camera to fail. Lorex did NOT honor the warranty. Even though I had all of the original packaging and a time and date from the install of the product. Poor customer service. Next time Im going with a different company, and you should too!"

Q&A

If I connect solar panels and increase the storage can these be used in continuous record mode?
To allow continuous recording, the receiver must have a hard disk, a 2.5” SATA hard disk (not expandable) can be installed, and the cameras must be connected to a power outlet via a power adapter, solar panels will not allow continuous recording.
