Accessing your security system remotely requires a high-speed Internet connection. Ensure your NVR has a wired connection to a router (not included). A minimum upload speed of 6Mbps is recommended for reasonable video performance.
HDMI output supports 4K HD for high definition multi-channel live or recorded video viewing. Image quality and resolution is dependent on the type of camera connected to the NVR, as well as TV/monitor resolution.
Detection types need to be supported by the camera.

Pre-recording is available only when using Motion Detection and can be viewed exclusively during local playback. This feature is not supported for Smart Motion Detection (SMD), continuous recording, or through the Lorex app or cloud services. The duration of the pre-recorded footage may vary based on the recorder available cache memory at the time the event was detected, up to a maximum time set by the user.

Nice setup for that wall of protection

"Impressed with an older setup I purchased from Costco. I've owned 6 years plus. Still works great. Of course I don't have the big storage compared to to days unit but it does the job and works fine. My biggest issue was installation it took a bit in a split level home. But it all works fine. I had a bit more distance on One camera had to add an extension which wasn't a problem it was just far more reaching then probably a single level home. I had the storage unit installed downstairs which actually took more ethernet line. My take is on these units if you're not user friendly on install. My suggestion is professional installation. You can't go wrong and the pricing is quite reasonable. Most people are going wireless. But I like wired internally and store my own memory. Saves money and you can edit your memory you save personally."

I've 4 questions What is the difference between those similar recorders, Do you need a computer for the setup or can you plug in to TV and my last question is can put any doorbell hook up on the recorder And last one can you build it bigger: The included recorder is the same; the only difference is that one includes 1 TB of storage and the other 2 TB. Are domes are they trackable they move when there is a movement like following the person from left to right or are they steady: The included cameras do not have pan and tilt functions, but the recorder supports active view which will track detected motion by following and zooming in on the moving object.
Do I have to use the Lorex cloud service to view my camera network on multiple windows PCs?: Yes, you can connect the camera to a compatible recorder and then add your recorder to the Lorex cloud client software on your computers for remote access.
