  1. Battery life is dependent on a number of factors, such as number of events or notifications, length of the recording, camera location, ambient temperature, and settings on the camera.
  2. Require a high-speed internet connection and a Wi-Fi router (not included) that supports 2.4Ghz. A minimum upload and download speed of 10 Mbps is required for optimal performance.
  3. Install wire-free, using the built-in (non-removable) battery. For wired installation, a voltage range of 8-24 VAC is required. If the voltage is less, a transformer will be required to operate properly. Consult with a licensed electrician.
  4. Audio and video recordings without consent, is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology does not assume liability for any use of its product that fails to conform to local laws.
  5. Person Detection accuracy is compromised when the face and/or body is partially covered.
  6. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered area is recommended.
  7. When MicroSD card storage is full the older previously recorded video will automatically be overwritten with the latest recordings. NOTE: There is a limited number of write/re-write cycles rated by the MicroSD card, before performance is reduced.

Have found doorbell camera’s battery

"Have found doorbell camera’s battery to not last long in cooler temps. As we have no AC power near our front door, we did expect to have to recharge (spec: 600 events) but find it drains below 10% within a week (with only a couple of events). Have found the camera to be great for recording day and night. Also, another product purchased (a recorder), order# LC268590, I find it noisy. Not sure if it’s the cooling fan or hard drive on unit. Always running (24/7). If that is normal, I can envision something failing within a year or so. Can you please advise on this issue?"

"Lorex Battery-Operated Doorbell – A Mediocre Experience Overall I’ve been using the new Lorex battery-operated doorbell for a little while, and my overall impression is that it’s fine, but it falls short in some important areas. The biggest issue is notification speed. When someone presses the doorbell, it often takes three minutes or more before a notification shows up on my phone—sometimes it doesn’t arrive at all. By the time I’m alerted, the person at the door is usually frustrated or has already left. The doorbell itself isn’t far from my Wi-Fi, so the delay seems to be happening somewhere between the camera system and cellular notification chain. Compared to how quickly a simple text message travels, this lag feels unusually long and unreliable. Motion detection was another mixed result. Even with the motion sensitivity maxed out and a carefully selected capture zone, the doorbell struggled to detect people as they approached. It typically only started recording once the person was already at the door, missing the few seconds of approach that I actually wanted to see. I also noticed that the doorbell button is quite stiff. Several visitors didn’t press it firmly enough, which meant I never received a notification. A softer or more responsive button would likely solve this. Overall, I’d say I’m partially satisfied. The camera quality itself is decent, and the hardware feels solid, but the slow notifications, inconsistent motion detection, and stiff button make it hard to rely on this doorbell the way I expected. If Lorex improves the software responsiveness, this could be a much better product."

I was looking at the battery operated door bell and I was wondering how can I hear the doorbell ring inside is there a separate box on the inside or does it ring on your cell phone?? Also, another question can anyone just walk away with the door bell by lifting it off of the holder??
To do so, you can use the lorex Wi-Fi chime box, or connect the camera directly to the house wiring using a chime kit (not included) in order to use an existing mechanical chime.

If someone wants to remove your doorbell from the bracket, they will need to hold the Doorbell and then insert the release pin into the hole in the mounting bracket until they reach the release tab.
