"Near useless. Almost always get oops unable to connect error when trying to review any recordings. If you do get a recording, it never continues as set up. . . I tried every combination of record self and it just does what it wants, recording for a few seconds only. Set to high performance mode or custom mode record for maximum time (5min), recordings still stop after just a few seconds, even when they're is still activity! It might record opening the car door on the driveway directly under the camera but not the person getting in it or driving away. . . The car is suddenly just gone with no recording of that!!! Total useless garbage for anything other than live view and even that only works half the time."

Never buy wireless

"LOREX WIFI cameras are utterly useless. Whenever I need them, they’re always offline, regardless of how strong my WiFi signal is. I’m disappointed because I bought a lot of their cameras, and while these are the worst, I know I won’t buy WIFI/wireless cameras again. They’re the most unreliable cameras I’ve ever used. Not only that, but technical support is often extremely rude, and it can take hours to get a resolution, if any. I have to call again tomorrow because my issues persist with multiple cameras that are still offline. Buy wired cameras, folks. You’ve been warned."

Go with a system that works

"I really wanted this system to work. The benefits are that it is wireless and provides adequate (not great) resolution. The downsides are the cameras often are off-line as they cannot pick up a WIFI signal (even though I have a full signal on my phone that is next to the camera. ) The cameras often need to be re-paired to the hub for whatever reason. I added the Smart Security Center and it is anything but. It will not even show you on screen which camera was triggered. I would not buy this system again."

The Hub and 2K cameras rely on Wi-Fi connectivity. The maximum distance is dependent on many factors such as Wi-Fi interference. Wireless signal strength can be reduced by other devices that emit frequencies or obstacles such as walls, ceilings, brick and other major obstructions.During initial setup the cameras must be close to the Hub.
