Have purchased 5 of these

"Have purchased 5 of these cameras. Four of them work perfectly, the fifth camera was defective. After three days of talking to the support staff they finally granted me a replacement camera"

So far these cameras seem

"So far these cameras seem fine but I have a hard time recommending anything else from Lorex until the issues I have with the two FL301A-DBW-AA1 cameras is resolved and right now, I am DOA on both of them as I am traveling and they do not work! Latest update was call support when I can troubleshoot again and likely will have me reset them to default for the 3rd time. Terrible solution as they are not reliable."

Lorex 2K Dual‑Lens Pan‑Tilt Wi‑Fi

"Lorex 2K Dual‑Lens Pan‑Tilt Wi‑Fi Camera (Classic App Model) I haven’t fully deployed my system yet, but after extensive tinkering I’m impressed with the hardware. The image quality is excellent — a major upgrade from the older HD set I used to run. The pan/tilt and auto‑tracking behave exactly as expected, and both person and animal detection work reasonably well. Occasionally a distant human gets classified as an animal, but overall the AI is accurate enough for practical use. Performance has been solid. With a strong Wi‑Fi signal, the camera communicates cleanly with both the NVR and the Lorex Classic app, and video clips store directly to the NVR without issue. Where things fall apart is documentation and setup guidance. Lorex’s manuals are vague, incomplete, and in some cases misleading. Customer support varies wildly depending on who you reach. The biggest frustration: the correct setup procedure is not documented anywhere. If you add this camera directly to the NVR during initial provisioning, you lose access to key features like AI detection settings, pan/tilt controls, ambient light adjustments, and other advanced options. Support eventually clarified that the camera must first be added to the Lorex Classic app as a standalone cloud‑adopted device, and then added to the Fusion NVR so recordings save locally. This should be clearly documented, but it isn’t — and it cost me unnecessary time, research, and support calls. As an IT professional who reads documentation daily, I expect better. The hardware meets expectations and performs well, but Lorex’s documentation is the weak link. If they improved their install guides and app instructions, this would be a near‑perfect product."

Just bought cameras for mother

"Just bought cameras for mother and now one unit is not turn right to left, but moving up and down. She lives 45 to an hour away from us and that a hassle to keep running back and forth. Other problem sales person didn't say these units didn't come with SD cards. When I go see my mother which is 82, I'll give customer tech support to see if we can fix unit."

"The camera was great and very easy to installed. Pictures and video are very clear. So easy to view remotely. Highly recommended."

This is a great little

"This is a great little camera, fantastic image, good connection with the app. Easy to hookup and use."

Purchased this for its 'dual

"Purchased this for its 'dual lens' feature. I intended to set it up so that I could simultaneously monitor my furnace digital display and at ther same time monitor a room in my home. Unfortunately the clarity for monitoring the digital display is insufficient - just see a blurred image."

Clem M. (2/5)

I have been unable to

"I have been unable to get it to hook up to my existing NVR. I scan the QR code and hook up to the network it wants to hook up to. Then it tells me me it is not hooked to the internet. The NVR is clearly on the internet. It won't allow me any other option. So far it is useless."

Delbert S. (1/5)

Solid camera - nice upgrade to my Lorex system

"Bought 2 (mostly to gain PTZ capability) to replace existing Lorex fixed wifi cameras. Fast and easy to setup and add to NVR on an existing large Lorex system. Solid quality, ease of use and reliability. Was surprised that this camera takes up two (2) camera devices/channels in the NVR. Makes sense I guess but 2 cameras take up four camera devices/channels. Ouch. Would be good to have an option to do compositing on the camera to consume only one NVR device channel. Hit a bug modifying light settings schedule. Had to reset camera and eventually got around the issue. Was getting check network errors when trying to modify daily schedules (!?!?!)"

Q&A

I have a D881A8. Is it compatible?
No, this camera is only compatible with the N910 recorder series.
Can this work alone from an NVR. can it work by itself and not be linked to a base
This Wi-Fi camera is designed to operate as a standalone device, connected to power and the Lorex app via Wi-Fi. It stores video to an SD card, connecting it to a Fusion recorder is optional.
Can it be added to any fusion NVR or just the one white NVR it shows as “compatible” device? I ordered the N864A64B to replace my out of date NVR. Hoping to add it to this one. TIA. 🙂
Yes, you can add this or any Wi-Fi camera to the N864A6 or any Fusion recorder, provided there is an available Wi-Fi channel on the device.
Why does the camera acting like it reboots randomly but also often. The top camera rotates all the way and then goes back to where it was recording
Please contact our technical support department, we’ll be happy to assist you. Technical support: 1-888-425-6739
Can this camera be powered by POE or only through the voltage adaptor?
No, this camera is not PoE, you must keep it connected to the power cable to power it.
