It is capable of recording a 4K pixel resolution of 3840 × 2160 - that's 4× the amount of pixels of 1080p. This heightened resolution will produce stunningly detailed video that will leave nothing to the question. It will also allow for greater digital zooms so you can see further into the distance. This camera also comes with a wide 87° angle lens that is perfect for large areas or doorways.

Easy MPX security camera installation

Straightforward connection

This MPX security camera comes with a siamese coaxial cable (60ft) to connect it to a 4K Ultra HD DVR (not included). This single cable splits into two heads at both ends (one head is for power, the other for video). Simply connect the video cable to the DVR and the power cable to an electrical outlet. Then connect the other two ends to the corresponding connections on the camera for an easy plug-and-play installation.

  2. Color nighttime video typically switches to black & white IR night vision when there is not sufficient ambient light to ensure optimal low-light image quality.
  3. Stated IR illumination range is based on ideal conditions in typical outdoor night time ambient lighting and in total darkness. Actual range and image clarity depends on installation location, viewing area, and light reflection / absorption level of object. In low light, the camera will switch to black and white.
  4. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered location recommended.
  5. This camera should only be used with the supplied cable and power adapter, or an extension cable meeting the specifications listed in the Quick Setup Guide / Installation Guide. The use of any other power adapter or cabling will adversely affect performance.

I purchased a whole 16

"I purchased a whole 16 Camera system for myself for Christmas and i also purchased two of these PTZ cameras as well. I've been very busy so i just now started installing my system and i hooked up the PTZ Camera first and it's worth every penny. The Clarity and zoom capability of this Camera is incredible. We have fairly decent lighting outside at night so i left the camera in color mode and its still very clear. If you use black and white mode at night you may get some glare and not be able to read license plates as well. Overall I have to say this is the best camera i've ever had."

There have been several people

"There have been several people that report that this camera does not work in the cold. It certainly does but UNDERSTAND that this camera needs more wattage when the internal heater turns on. I suspect that in cold temperatures the internal heater turns on requiring more power. If your POE power device cannot supply the POE+ power (extra wattage)needed for the internal heater then the camera will simply shut off. This is normal. Be sure that your POE power device can handle a POE+ camera. Do your research!! This is a POE+ camera needing and requiring a 30 watt POE+ supply. NOT a regular POE. If necessary, plug this camera into a POE+ switch Not into your NVR directly. This is what I had to do as I had several POE+ cameras and on a very cold night, the NVR failed because it could not supply enough current to keep the internal heaters working on my POE+ cameras. As I said, DO YOUR RESEARCH. This is a great camera but it needs a POE+ supply!!! Most little indoor cameras that are POE don't have high current internal heaters. This camera DOES!! --Greg--"

Loved this camera when I

"Loved this camera when I finally got in installed - it was a bit more involved than other cameras as it is large. Could check on the horses in their sheds in the pasture in the dark. Could easily read license plates from long distances. Sadly the camera did not survive the cold although it was rated well - waiting on support to grant a return/refund. Lorex has done right by me in the past - although it is frustrating and time consuming to work thru their ranks... Online chat is never productive :("
