"Not sold on this unit yet, it is a 910 fusion series and has gone completely blank 3 times since we got it up and running. I’m not quite sure what is happening, but if it keeps this up, I am thinking of turning it in for a new one or a refund of my money. I had an 840 fusion series that got a power surge and it never had any issues for a year until the surge happened. I thought Lorex was okay. Now I’m not so sure."

The E842CAB cameras were released in 2023.
Will this system need a poe switch or injector if router isn't poe ported
Because these cameras use Power over Ethernet (PoE), they draw both power and data directly from the recorder through a single cable. This means you don't need a specialized PoE router for a standard setup, as the NVR's built-in ports handle the heavy lifting once the recorder is plugged into a standard outlet. However, if you prefer to mount your cameras in a location far from the NVR, you can simply use an external PoE switch to bridge the distance.
